Top Ten Books for Children here at Waldo

By Alyssa Brown and Thomas Larson

Looking for something to do this summer other than watch TV and play video games? We sure are! These are the top ten childrens' books that you could take home to read to your little brother or sister (or yourself if you like them).

#1 Zoom: We picked this book because children love pictures and that's all this book has. It zooms out to the atmosphere and ends with a black page. Check it out!
#2 The Giving Tree: This one was chosen because this gives a lesson. It tells little kids it’s never too late to give and that sharing is always good.
#3 You’re Special: In this very adorable story the author shares with little kids that no matter who you are, you're special.
#4 Oh The Places You’ll Go: This tells kids that if they believe in themselves they can do anything.
#5 Fibbed Big: In this story the author shares that lying is big but can start out small.
#6 Five Silly Fishermen: This one was just funny so we decided to put it on the list.
#7 Thank You Mr. Falker: Always believe in yourself and don’t care what others say is the message of this book.
#8 The Missing Piece Meets the Big O: You always belong somewhere.
#9 Green Eggs and Ham: This one we chose because we thought that kids can be picky about things and this story basically says that if you don’t like something then try it first to decide.
#10 Knuffle Bunny: It's such an adorable story that we had to put it on the list.

There you have it. These are the top ten stories we recommend to you to take home, buy, or read. If you like childrens' books then you will like these. You can find these books over on the wall next to the computer lab.
