This year we have this great event called Field Day. Field Day is for 6th and 7th graders only, since the 8th graders are going on a field trip to Northern Lights movie theater. This event is taking place here at Waldo on the 14th of June. We decided to write a story about the excitement of students and staff toward this event.
Q: Do you have any ideas for field day?
A: Mr. Curran: Punt, Pass, and Kick.
Christian Garcia: We should have indoor activities.
Arthur Dreams: Basketball and soccer.
Q: What are some things that can make field day exciting for you?
A: Christian Garcia: Basketball and football.
Arthur Dreams: Football!
Q: If we could go on a field trip where would you want to go? Why?
A: Christian Garcia: Bullwinkle's because it has laser tag and go-carts.
Arthur Dreams: Pietro’s Pizza and then go to Wunderland.
Q: What’s the best field trip you’ve ever been on?
A: Christian Garcia: Outdoor School, in fifth grade.
Arthur Dreams: Fifth grade, to Bullwinkle's.
Q: What snacks would be good?
A: Christian Garcia: Mexican food, juice / soda (Jarritos).
Arthur Dreams: Fried chicken and Kool Aid.
Q: What would be some good outdoor activities for field day?
Christian Garcia: Soccer, football and maybe baseball.
Arthur Dreams: Soccer and football.
As you can see both students and staff are very excited about Field Day and are waiting with impatience. We are thinking about maybe hanging out with friends, and doing mostly indoor activities then outdoor.
