Life is just a joke
People say and do mysterious things
You get stabbed in the back
By the person you trust the most
But mostly
You meet a boy
You fall for him
HARD
He promises never to drop you
He tells you he loves you
He wants to be with you forever and always
But can you trust him?
Can you believe him?
He has dropped you once
How do you know he won’t again?
It’s not fair
Life’s not fair!
It’s cruel and heartless
Is it true?
Can he only love me this way?
Or is it a joke?
Should I give him everything?
Or build a wall between us?
I am myself
I have to protect what’s left
What’s left of the broken pieces of
My life
All life is, is a joke. It laughs and toys with you until there’s nothing left so be strong. Let go of the past, live in the present and dream of the future. It’s bright like stars in the country sky.
